Description
Part used: The ripe and dried seeds, its main components, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, steroidal saponins, phenugrecine, flavonoids, sterols.
Pharmacological action: It is recognized as a bitter tonic with aperitif effect and external anti-inflammatory activity. Clinically, its hypolipidemic action and its ability to reduce menopausal symptoms due to phytoestrogens have been demonstrated. In addition, some studies suggest that it may improve sexual function in men and women. Traditionally, fenugreek seed has been used to relieve dysmenorrhea. It has been approved for temporary loss of appetite.
Instructions for use:
- To recover appetite:
- Infusion: 1-6 g of drug in 250 ml of water. Take, in several doses, before meals.
- Chopped drug: 2 g, three times a day, take with liquid before meals.
Duration of treatment: 2 weeks
For skin inflammations:
- Infusion: 50 g in 250 ml of water. Apply 2-3 times a day, as a poultice while the infusion is still warm.Â
Duration of treatment: 1 week.
